A simple and economical apparatus for demonstration of Boyle’s law to a fair degree of
approximation.
It consists of a graduated plastic syringe mounted on wooden block and a lubricated piston of
the syringe mounted to another wooden platform that is capable of holding various weights.
When loaded with different masses, piston compresses the air inside syringe increasing the
pressure and corresponding volume can be read directly from syringe graduation.
