The Deluxe Boyle’s Law apparatus is used to study the relationship between pressure and
volume.
It provides a simple way to experiment with the physics of gas, and to introduce insight into the
concepts of vacuum, pressure, and volume.
The tube is filled with heavy oil and connected to a closed reservoir.
By raising or lowering the tube, one can study Boyle’s law by observing the oil move in the
expansion container in response to you increasing and decreasing the pressure.
This apparatus can also be used to monitor the atmospheric pressure.
